Mission: Coronado lunior Woman's Club is an active member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, a worldwide organization. The purpose of the Club is to unite together women who are dedicated to enhancing the spirit of Coronado through educational, civic and philanthropic services.
Junior Pledge: I Pledge my loyalty to the Junior Club Women; by doing better than ever before, what work I have to do, by being prompt, honest, courteous, by living each day trying to accomplish something, not merely to exist.
Meetings: We usually meet in a home of a member on the Third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Locations & dates will be announced on the CJWC website calendar. Each member must sign up to bring food, drinks/wine to the meetings.
Membership: To become a member you need to attend 2 consecutive meetings and work on an event. Annual dues are $75
Furrdraising Events: Events have included: Beans N Jeans, Oktoberfest, Cinco de Mayo, Purse Party, rummage sales, and "A Taste of Coronado".
Community Events: CJWC also donates time, hard work and money to the following: Halloween Window Painting, Flower Show, Thanksgiving Coloring contest and baby baskets for military.
Beneficiaries: Coronado Jr. Woman's Club fundraising and hard work has helped with scholarships, playground equipment, girllboy scouts, art, music, drama, athletic programs, library, Sharp Coronado Hospital, Coronado DARE, Coronado Schools, Camp Wamp, San Diego Fisher House, Special Education, Monarch Schools.
Just for Fun: All the events above are fun and very rewarding, but the real fun is in meeting, socializing, and becoming good friends with a great group of women! Just for fun events include Progressive Bike Dinners, Wine tours/tastings, Holiday parties, cooking classes, secret pals and bowling.
