Welcome 2017!

What a truly wonderful year 2016 was for the CJWC!

It is strange to think that we are halfway through our club's season.

Already, we have accomplished so much as a club, and together we look forward to all we will do in 2017 and beyond.

At this month's meeting, we will begin to set up our committees for the wonderful events our club will participate in this Spring.

Take a look below for more information on our upcoming events.

Our January meeting will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2017

at the community room in the Broadstone Apartment Complex.

Our theme this month will be: New Year, New Recipe.

Please bring a savory food item if you can.

Social hour begins at 6:30 and our general meeting starts at 7:00.

Thank you for hosting,

Joanie Marcus!

If you would like more information about how to join the CJWC, please contact our Membership Chair: Priscilla Woodall

Secret Pals

At our January meeting, we will have signups available for our 3 month long gift exchange. When you participate, you recieve a "Secret Pal" that you surprise with a small gift over the course of February, March, and April.

It is a great bonding experience, and helps you to get to know some of the other members!

Contact Olivia Henrich for more information.

Save the Date: Coronado Floral Show April 7-9, 2017

The Coronado Junior Woman's Club teams up every year with the

Coronado Floral Association to for the annual Coronado Flower Show.

The CJWC is responsible for the Juniors section, and every year our club has a committee that oversees the various tasks that need to be accomplished both in the months prior to the event as well as during the weekend of the show.

Committee responsibilities include creating categories for the children's section, copying flyers, liasoning with the local schools, and providing help as needed at the Flower Show.

Please contact our committee chair, Kari McPherson, for more information!

Marilyn Foster Scholarship

Each year, our club offers a scholarship to a graduating female senior at Coronado High School. The award is named after former member Marilyn Foster in honor of her longtime membership and unwavering support of the club. She was an inspiration to all and a hard working contributor to community service throughout her time in Coronado. Contact Toni Trinidad for more information.

Spring Fundraiser

If you are interested in participating on the committee for our Spring Fundraiser, sign ups will be open soon.

A big thank you to

Maggie Pettit for hosting our December Meeting- the "Five $5 Favorites" gift exchange was so much fun!
